What is a questionnaire?
Anklet (from English anklet ) is a bracelet designed to be worn on the ankle.
Historically, jewelry appeared in the ancient cultures of Egypt and India. There, it served as an indicator of social status, indicated a woman's marital status, or acted as a talisman.
An anklet differs from a classic wrist bracelet in its extended length, averaging 22–27 centimeters. It often features an adjustable clasp or additional links for a comfortable fit just above the ankle bone.

Main types
Ankle bracelet designs range from simple metallic threads to massive constructions.
- Thin chains — minimalist pieces made of gold, silver, or jewelry alloys. A basic option, suitable for everyday wear.
- Models with pendants (charms) — bracelets adorned with decorative elements. Coins, cowrie shells, crystals, or miniature figures are used as inlays.
- Beaded and stone anklets — bright, multi-layered jewelry made of beads, natural gemstones, or freshwater pearls. Typical of a relaxed boho style and beach aesthetics.
- Hard bracelets (ankle cuffs) — rigid metal structures in the shape of an open ring. They tightly grip the foot and are held in place by their rigid shape.

How to wear
The anklet requires an exposed ankle. The piece pairs well with cropped trousers, 7/8-length jeans, Bermuda shorts, and skirts and dresses of any length.
The anklet looks great with open summer shoes: leather sandals, thin-strap sandals, or mules. For closed-toe outfits, pair the anklet with low-cut shoes, such as basic sneakers, loafers, or slip-ons.

Traditionally, the jewelry is worn on a bare leg. Wearing a metal chain over nylon tights or thick cotton socks is a specific stylistic technique used in street style, but requires careful proportions.
An anklet is considered an element of informal style (casual, vacation). Wearing an anklet is unacceptable within a strict business dress code or at formal events.
