What is a bralette?
Bralette — is a lightweight women's bra without rigid underwires, dense molded cups and push-up inserts.
The main function of this garment is to provide light, natural support to the bust. The emphasis in these styles is on comfort, not on changing shape or visually increasing volume. These styles do not restrict movement or compress the chest, making them an ideal choice for everyday wear. In the context of modern fashion, the bralette has evolved from concealed underwear to a standalone wardrobe item. It is most often made of soft lace, cotton, microfiber, natural silk, or stretch ribbed knit.

Main types
Bralette designs range from classic lingerie to minimalist, sporty styles. The choice of a specific model depends on the style of the outfit and the desired level of support. The main types include:
- Lace (romantic): A classic version made of thin, lacy material, often with scalloped edges. These styles are regularly used as an accent piece in layered looks.
- Basic and sports: Minimalist bras made of thick cotton or smooth microfiber. They often feature a wide elastic band under the bust for better support and a snug fit.

- Bralette tops (long): Models with a wide waistband (bottom) that reaches almost to the waistline. This cut blurs the line between classic underwear and cropped crop tops.
- Halters: Bralettes with a clasp or tie at the neck. This design leaves the back and shoulders exposed.
What to combine with
Bralettes can be integrated into everyday and evening looks in a number of ways. Because they lack a rigid frame, they don't create excess bulk under clothing.

- For translucent fabrics: A bralette can be worn under blouses made of organza, chiffon, or mesh. This creates a stylish layered look without being too revealing.
- With a voluminous top layer: A popular combination is a thick bralette as a top with an unbuttoned oversized shirt, a voluminous knitted cardigan, or a formal men's jacket.
- With a high rise bottom: Long bralette tops pair beautifully with wide palazzo pants, straight-leg jeans, or high-waisted skirts.
- As a decorative element: Lace straps or scalloped cup edges can be intentionally visible under deep V-neck sweaters or backless dresses.
