What is nude color?
Nude — is a collective name for a palette of shades that are as close as possible to the color of human skin.
Literally translated from English, the word "nude" means "naked." When answering the question of what exactly nude is, it's important to emphasize: it's not a single, light beige hue, but a wide spectrum from porcelain to rich, dark brown.

The main function of nude items in a wardrobe is to create the effect of being naked, blending with the skin, or serving as a completely neutral backdrop for other elements of the outfit. In the categories of footwear and lingerie, the "perfect nude" is a strictly individual choice, as it must perfectly match the wearer's skin tone and undertone.
Basic shades
The palette of nude colors is conventionally divided into three main groups:
- Light shades: Porcelain, alabaster, ivory, light peach, and powder pink. They are ideal for skin with cool undertones.
- Medium shades: classic beige, sand, camel, warm caramel and olive beige.
- Dark shades: milk chocolate, mocha, espresso, as well as rich bronze and terracotta tones.

The current fashion industry standard, known as the "new nude" concept, requires brands to produce basic lingerie and footwear lines in at least 8-12 shades. This ensures a precise fit for a variety of skin tones.
What to combine with
Nude pieces are easy to integrate into a wardrobe thanks to their neutrality. There are several classic styling techniques for working with this palette.
Monochrome look (Total Nude) It's based on the combination of several related shades in one outfit. An example of such an outfit: sand-colored wool trousers, a caramel silk blouse, and a beige cashmere coat.

To prevent monochrome from looking flat, it is necessary to mix different textures: matte (cashmere, suede, wool) and glossy (silk, satin, smooth leather).
As a neutral base Nude tops, turtlenecks, and tees calm vibrant hues like fuchsia, cobalt, or emerald. They also balance complex geometric or animal prints without overpowering them.

Shoe technique This style involves wearing classic pumps or sandals that precisely match the skin tone of your legs. These shoes visually lengthen the silhouette without disrupting the figure's proportions. Furthermore, nude often acts as a softening element in strict, graphic looks built on the contrast of black and white.
