What is a bangle bracelet?
Bangle — This is a rigid ring-shaped bracelet that holds its shape well and does not deform when worn.

The main difference between this piece and classic chain bracelets is the lack of flexible links. The bangle is a solid or semi-solid structure made of a dense material.
Historically, the shape originates from South Asia, particularly India and Pakistan. Traditional Indian bangles were made of glass, wood, or precious metals and were worn several at a time on a single hand.
In modern jewelry fashion, such bracelets are made from gold, silver, various alloys, as well as plastic and acrylic. Colored enamel, engraving, or stone inlay are often used for decoration.
Main types
The design of rigid bracelets is divided into three basic categories depending on the method of wearing and fixing on the hand.
- Solid (closed) bangle: A classic solid ring without a clasp. It's worn over the wrist, so it requires a precise diameter to ensure it stays in place.
- Open (cuff): A C-shaped bracelet with a slight gap. It fits easily over a narrow wrist. Metal cuffs often allow for slight adjustment by squeezing.
- Hinged (with lock): A rigid bracelet consisting of two halves, connected by a hinge mechanism on one side and a clasp on the other. This design allows the bracelet to fit snugly on the wrist without slipping off.

How to wear and what to combine with
Stacking (multi-layering) — a classic bangle styling technique. Three to ten thin bracelets are worn on a single wrist. As they move, they collide, creating a distinctive, soft jingle.

Watch combination: A single rigid metal bangle is a great addition to a classic wristwatch. In this case, the bracelet is positioned closer to the wrist.
Sleeve rule: Bangle sweaters look most flattering when worn with an open wrist and short or 3/4-length sleeves. In colder weather, wide, open bangle sweaters can be worn over the tight-fitting sleeves of a thin wool turtleneck.

Mix of textures: In boho or casual styles, sleek metal bangles pair with textured materials. Rigid rings are worn with leather cords, braided bracelets, or beaded jewelry.
